His father was Jehoram, compare with 2 Chronicles 21:5 = "Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem". So Jehoram was 40 years old, when he died, and his youngest son Ahaziah was 42, when he became king right after his father, which means that Ahaziah was two years older than his father!
