Acts 9:7

Previous Verse < Acts 9 > Next Verse

And the men that journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing the voice, but beholding no man. (ASV)

This contradicts Acts 22:9, which says Paul's companions did not hear a voice. Some have tried to argue that Acts 22 says they did not understand the voice, but the two sections use forms of the same Greek word, "akouo." Furthermore, this verse implies that the men did not see anything, whereas Acts 22 says they saw the light.
