Hi All!

I can't believe someone bothered to check my talk page.

About me- I'm a 30 something happily married father of two. I have a Ph.D. in materials science (sorta a combination of chemistry, mechanics, and physics), and my current job is a research scientist position, including a little nanotech research.

My spiritual history - I was raised Catholic, and reading the Bible woke me from my Christianity. I now have an earth-based spirituality that celebrates the seasons as well as celebrating my Native American ancestry, while focusing on this world and this life, instead of fearing some imaginary hell. I've been very happy to find how well this works with raising a family. The kids love the earth-based holidays, and I never have to try to explain to them that we worship a god that would command a father to kill, disembowl, slice up and burn his son, or who would throw someone into hell. Instead, I can focus on love and life, and can assure them that they are truly the very most important thing in my life, with no exceptions.
